Our Story

Advocacy grounded in community

Christopher D. Nye was raised in New York’s North Country and is a longtime resident of Fort Covington, New York. A graduate of Salmon River Central School, he earned his Juris Doctorate from the City University of New York School of Law in 1998.

After law school, Attorney Nye resided in New York City and Los Angeles, where he gained experience working with large organizations and handling complex legal matters. He later returned to Fort Covington with his family, bringing that experience home to serve the community in which he was raised.

In 2012, Attorney Nye founded the Nye Law Firm. His practice is focused primarily on Family Court matters, including custody, visitation, support and related issues affecting children and families. In addition, he represents clients in Supreme, County and local Town Courts. Attorney Nye is committed to providing thoughtful, effective representation during some of the most challenging times in his clients’ lives, with an emphasis on practical solutions and careful advocacy.
